The Salvos offer hope, purpose, and fulfilment for anyone seeking connection, guidance, social support and community.     About the role     As a  Just Brass Tutor , this is your opportunity to   provide opportunities for primary school   students who would not normally have access to a high-quality music program.   Reporting to the Geelong Corps Officer, this is a casual role located in Geelong, VIC.     How you will make an impact      Deliver weekly 30-minute brass instrument tuition for young people in groups of two or more in   schools   Build strong relationships with Principals, teachers, and student wellbeing staff at primary schools to ensure positive outcomes for young people engaged in the Just Brass program.   Plan and lead weekly 60-minute band rehearsals, including student supervision and musical instruction.   Design and implement a well-rounded rehearsal program that balances enjoyment, engagement, skill development, teamwork, and leadership opportunities within the Just Brass Band.   Organise opportunities   for students to participate in school events, a minimum of one per term.   What you will bring     Extensive experience in playing brass instrument/s, combined with experience   in providing   instrument tuition   Music qualifications, including teaching qualifications would be well regarded   Knowledge of music education and engaging with at-risk students   Knowledge of and participation in relevant risk prevention strategies and the promotion of a safe   workplace   What we offer      Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives    Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency.    Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers   that have positive and sustainable / social impacts.          Applications will close   as soon as a suitable candidate is secured.
