About the role  We recognise the key to our success is an exceptional Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and therefore we are seeking an outstanding individual to be part of Access Health as a First Peoples Health and Wellbeing Worker  You’ll work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to support individuals who may be underutilising health services, experiencing homelessness, or impacted by substance use by helping to improve health outcomes and empower people with knowledge Reporting to the Clinical Services Coordinator Manager , this is a Max term (12 months) Part time (30.4 hours per week) role and is on-site located in St Kilda How you will make an impact Build and maintain strong relationships with local Aboriginal community groups, Elders, ACCOs, and partner agencies. Provide practical support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients at Access Health, including clinic assistance, appointment reminders, transport coordination, and health information. Assist clients in navigating services, completing forms, and accessing internal and external programs. Participate in cultural and community activities such as NAIDOC events, health days, and planned group programs (e.g., Food Share BBQ, Health Street Walk). Identify and escalate individual or community risks or emerging issues to the appropriate staff. Maintain accurate client notes and data in line with cultural safety and organisational requirements and contribute cultural insight to improve service design and outreach. This position is open to people of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent only as TSA considers Aboriginal and/or a Torres Strait Islander people are under-represented in this industry as per section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Victoria).
