From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.   About the Role: We are currently seeking to appoint a Full Time (Permanent) IT Business Analyst based at either our offices in Blackburn, VIC or Redfern, NSW Purpose of the Role: The Business Analyst will engage with a range of internal and external business and technical stakeholders to understand and evaluate key requirements and support the delivery of effective solutions to satisfy those requirements. The role requires a dynamic individual and team player who can adapt to changing environments, is open to learning through practice, and work effectively across several initiatives. Key Responsibilities: You will be successful in this role if you can: Lead and conduct analysis of initiatives, business as usual activities using appropriate tools and techniques. Define or re-engineer proposed future states that balance strategic thinking with immediate business needs and constraints Conduct workshops, elicit, and document all findings in clear, easily understandable products. Support initiatives throughout vendor selection, various project lifecycle / solution development stages and post implementation of business solutions. Keep accurate and complete records of personal work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the TSA’s records, information security and privacy policies and requirements. Provide advice and guidance to fellow colleagues, and business representatives based on expertise in various fields of business analysis. Assist in managing and coordinating a range of project delivery and perform business as usual tasks such as assessment of issues, auditing, tracking, reporting and support. Respond productively to deliver solutions and outcomes in an organisational environment complicated by scale, heterogeneity, and complexity. Take lead role and assist in developing business cases, including options analysis, feasibility, process mapping, cost and benefit estimation, investment logic, and benefits management planning. Qualifications and Experience: To be successful in this role, you will have applied experience of working as an analyst in a project related and or business/client interfacing role. Solid experience in a range of software including Excel (Advanced), Visio and various Project-related tools. Highly developed work organisation and project management skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities and respond to emerging needs. Educational Skills Required: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems or related field. Or equivalent work experience. A recognized certification in tools and methodologies used for the development of concepts and techniques applied to business analysis is preferred.
