Salvos services go beyond addressing the core issues and challenges associated with problematic substance abuse and provide participants a place of hope, compassion, and dignity to recover safely.   About the role     As a Gambler’s Help Venue Support Worker, this is your opportunity to deliver mandated Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG) and associated training to gaming venues, support the development of responsible gambling practices and environments in line with approved industry codes of conduct, and provide a critical interface between gaming venues and Gambler’s Help services.   Reporting to the  Program Manager , this   part-time  role   offering 30.4 hours per week   is   contracted until June 2028 ,  located  in   Kensington, VIC .    How you will make an impact      Provide Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG) and associated face-to-face training to venue staff to ensure compliance within regulatory   timeframes   Conduct formal meetings with gaming venues at least every six months to support compliance with Responsible Gambling Codes of Conduct and promote   Support and train venue staff to develop the skills,   knowledge   and confidence to   identify   and respond to gambling harm including facilitating access to Gambler’s Help,   YourPlay   and self-exclusion programs   Maintain program records and complete RSG, training and GH Connect reporting in line with Departmental requirements while   identifying   service gaps and contributing to service planning,   review   and quality improvement   Liaise with service providers and develop strategic relationships with health and welfare professionals to   identify   training needs and support the delivery of effective education and peer training initiatives   What you will bring     A   Certificate IV in Training and Assessment   is essential      Previous   experience in   delivering training and   facilitating   groups or understanding of gambling environment.   A current VIC Drivers Licence and employee Working with Children’s Check     What we offer     The Salvos offer eligible  employee's  a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including:       Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.    Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers,  Purchased  Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities.    Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives incl Fitness Passport    Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and  proficiency .    Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers   that have positive and sustainable / social impacts.    Conditions    Compensation is  in accordance with   Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award   Level 5   How to apply    Are you ready to make a difference and help individuals rebuild their lives? Please  submit  your resume and cover letter detailing your alignment with the role's requirements.  T ogether, we can create lasting change and build a more inclusive and compassionate community.    Applications will close   as soon as a suitable candidate is secured.
