                                                   Enviromental Health and Safety_CL3_ERM India     Role Overview   We are looking for a seasoned EHS leader with deep expertise in data center environments and large-scale project management . This role will ensure end-to-end EHS compliance and risk mitigation during data canter construction, commissioning, and operations , while driving project governance and execution excellence .     Key Responsibilities   EHS Leadership   Develop and implement EHS frameworks for data center projects and operational sites.   Ensure compliance with local regulations, global standards, and client requirements .   Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and sustainability metrics.   Data Center EHS Management   Oversee EHS programs for hyperscale and enterprise data centers , including:    Construction phase : site safety plans, contractor compliance, hazard identification.   Commissioning & operations : electrical safety, fire protection, emergency response.   Conduct risk assessments for critical systems (power, cooling, IT infrastructure).   Implement environmental controls for energy efficiency and waste management.   Project Management   Lead EHS integration into project lifecycle :    Planning : define EHS deliverables, risk registers, and compliance milestones.   Execution : monitor safety KPIs, ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.   Close-out : validate EHS documentation, lessons learned, and handover compliance.   Collaborate with PMO, engineering, and construction teams to align EHS goals with project objectives .   Manage multiple concurrent projects across regions with strict deadlines.   Utilize project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) for tracking and reporting.   Stakeholder Engagement   Act as the primary EHS contact for clients, contractors, and internal leadership.   Conduct regular reviews and audits with stakeholders to ensure transparency and compliance.   Incident & Risk Management   Lead root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective/preventive actions.   Maintain risk registers and ensure proactive mitigation strategies.     Required Qualifications   Bachelor’s/master’s in environmental science , Safety Engineering, or related field .   11–16 years of experience in EHS roles, with minimum 5 years in data center projects .   Strong project management experience with proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-site projects .   Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NFPA, OSHA standards , and local regulations.   Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (PMP certification preferred).     Who We Are:   As the world’s leading sustainability consulting firm, ERM is uniquely positioned to contribute to the environment and society through the expertise and energy of our employees worldwide.
