As part of the growth of our Air Quality team, ERM has a position available for an air quality consultant to join our Brisbane team. ERM is a global environmental consultancy with a diverse client base comprising major Australian and international companies, as well as federal and state government departments. Our projects (in Australia and overseas) include impact assessment and mitigation, air quality monitoring, air quality assessment, dispersion modelling, odour and dust assessment, emission inventory development, applied meteorology, and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will have a strong technical interest, an eye for detail, and will enjoy developing tailored solutions to help our clients understand and manage the environmental impact of their operations.  You will be part of a growing dynamic international company that clients trust and choose to engage.  Prior experience in meteorological and dispersion modelling is required and in a consulting environment is required. Role Responsibilities:  Preparation of air emission inventories, meteorological and atmospheric dispersion models; Assisting in the design of air quality and meteorological monitoring programs; Contributing to writing technical environmental reports; Provide inputs into elements of project scoping; Building effective working relationships with clients, project teams, and the broader business unit; Understanding ERM’s focus sectors, practices, products and services; and Assisting project and practice teams to meet business financial targets, overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction/expectations, and internal and contract requirements. If you have the following, we want to hear from you: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a consulting environment, with the following; Tertiary qualifications (or higher) in engineering or science; Experience configuring the Weather Research and Forecasting Model (WRF) is desirable; A keen interest in physical processes related to meteorology and air pollution; A strong background in data analysis, with established skills in Microsoft Excel.  Experience in R Studio, Matlab, and/or Python desirable but not essential; Good verbal and written communications skills; Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships; and Strong initiative with the ability to work independently where required.
