To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You’ll Be Doing As an Associate Investment Advisor, you will join CIBC Wood Gundy and be engaged in all marketing and business development activities which are designed to facilitate the accumulation of assets, by identifying, attracting and converting prospects into clients of the Team. The Associate Investment Advisor also deploys assets into suitable financial products based on the client’s risk/reward tolerances. You will proactively service clients and address investment related questions. You will support portfolio management through quantitative research and analysis as well as lead third-party manager due diligence and performance monitoring. You will assist in data analysis and the implementation of investment strategies. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How You’ll Succeed Building relationships - Display high levels of interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to effectively network, prospect, and build strong and trusting client relationships. Provides mentorship and leadership within the investment team. Investing - Develop investment plans and written proposals for prospects and clients. Analyze information/trends and apply it to individual client circumstances. Leads strategic investment decisions on allocated strategies and client engagements. Focuses on high-level portfolio management and business development. Collaborating - Participate in seminars for clients and prospects, in collaboration with team members. Demonstrate well-developed, interactive presentation skills to convey both factual and conceptual ideas to clients Who You Are You’re a certified professional . You have current accreditation and good standing as a Registered Representative (RR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID). Portfolio Manager designation or Associate Portfolio Manager designation is required. You are educated. You have a university degree within a related field/Industry related designation and portfolio management relevant experience. You're passionate about people .
