This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on development expertise, and a collaborative mindset to drive innovation and excellence across our engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical studies and solution design, collaborating with infrastructure, big data, and business analysis teams.Document proposed architectures and develop scalable, maintainable software solutions.Ensure integration of CI/CD artifacts and automation into all deliverables.Conduct code reviews and promote best practices, mentoring team members to enhance technical capabilities.Provide regular updates and technical reporting to project managers and stakeholders.Monitor and escalate technical risks appropriately to ensure project success.Research, design, and develop software aligned with user needs and business goals.Enhance existing software capabilities and lead testing and validation procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and/or software systems.Take ownership of non-functional deliverables including performance testing, mocking, monitoring, and quality assurance.Qualifications & ExperienceMandatory:Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE.Proficient in data ingestion and processing technologies such as Spark Streaming and Apache Spark.Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, Flume, ActiveMQ, MQSeries, or RabbitMQ.Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (preferably Hortonworks), including HDFS, HBase, Hive, ORC/Parquet.Familiarity with build tools (Maven, SBT, Ant), UML, RESTful APIs, Jenkins/TeamCity, SVN/GIT, TDD with JUnit, Jira, and QC.Preferred:Experience in solution design using proven patterns and performance tuning in streaming environments.Exposure to tools like Phoenix, Elasticsearch, Sqoop, and StreamSets.Basic understanding of finance and investment banking domains.Professional Skills & MindsetStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in software development lifecycle methodologies.Passion for technology trends and active participation in tech communities.Commitment to mentoring and growing team capabilities.Autonomous and reliable with a proactive approach to leadership and delivery.Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:Computer ScienceInformation TechnologyProgramming / Systems AnalysisComputer StudiesScience (with computing specialization)Equal Opportunity StatementWe are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful workplace.
