Where no two days are the same.Your RoleCapgemini is looking for a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer, who will be a key technical authority driving the design, development, and implementation of Aerospace and Defence manufacturing tooling and fixtures. Using CREO CAD and your deep understanding of manufacturing processes, you’ll deliver high-performance tooling solutions that enhance production efficiency and quality. Responsibility include: Tooling Design & Development: Lead the creation and refinement of aerospace and defence manufacturing tooling and fixtures using CREO CAD, ensuring alignment with engineering and production needs.Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical authority for tooling design, improvements, and repairs across multiple projects, offering expert guidance and oversight.Manufacturing Issue Resolution: Drive root cause analysis and resolve tooling-related challenges to minimize production disruptions and maintain operational efficiency.Cost & Process Optimization: Identify and eliminate non-essential design/process elements to reduce production costs while maintaining high quality standards.Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between manufacturing teams, suppliers, and procurement to address technical concerns and ensure smooth project execution.Testing & Documentation: Support tooling validation through functional and environmental testing, and produce detailed technical documentation including specs, instructions, and reportsYour ProfileChartered Engineer (or equivalent) with 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing tooling and assembly engineering.Recognized subject matter expert in assembly tooling design, manufacturing processes, and materials.Advanced proficiency in CREO CAD and associated engineering tools.Proven track record delivering complex tooling solutions for high-precision manufacturing environments.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve tooling and fixture challenges quickly and effectively.Experience optimizing designs for cost, manufacturability, and quality.Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.Experience managing technical risks, validating tooling performance, and supporting trials.Demonstrated ability to work on-site and collaborate across multi-functional engineering teams. If you're excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply, your unique experience could be just what we need.What you’ll love about working hereWell-being hub and different wellbeing initiativesHybrid working up to 70%Possibility to work up to 45 days per year from abroadOpen access to digital learning platformsActive employee networks promoting diversity, equity and inclusion like OutFront, CapAbility or Women@CapgeminiCapgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
