Their role spans technical leadership, client engagement, and strategic planning. The architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud strategies align with business goals and compliance standards. Core Responsibilities of an Azure Cloud Architect:Technical Leadership & ArchitectureDesign cloud-native applications and infrastructure using Azure services like App Service, Azure SQL, Functions, Storage, AKS, and Logic AppsLead solution assurance, risk mitigation, and technical validation throughout the lifecycleArchitect CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, Azure reposImplement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM, or BicepAnalyze existing cloud infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend and implement solutionsProvide technical guidance and support to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practicesDevelop and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture and operations, and share knowledge with the teamCost Optimization: Work to optimize cloud costs and resourcesSecurity & ComplianceEnsure solutions meet compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSSDesign disaster recovery and business continuity strategiesClient Engagement & CommunicationTranslate business requirements into technical solutionsPresent solutions to clients and address concerns effectivelyBuild strong relationships through collaboration and transparencyYour Profile Skills & Experience Required Preferred Experience15+ years in IT, with 5+ years in Azure architecture rolesHands-on experience with performance optimization, cost control, and cloud governanceTechnical ExpertiseDeep knowledge of Azure services ((IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, security) and architecture principles (availability, DR, security, compliance)Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform)Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and Agile delivery modelsGood to have: Familiarity with hybrid/multi-cloud environmentsCertifications & FrameworksAzure Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert certificationsUnderstanding of TOGAF, or similar enterprise architecture frameworks What you’ll love about working hereYou will be a part of a diverse collective of free-thinkers, entrepreneurs and industry experts.
