Where no two days are the same.Your roleIn this role as a Repair Stress Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team providing critical stress analysis expertise for aircraft structures. You will focus on evaluating and substantiating repairs and reworks on airframe primary structures through static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis. In this role you will play a key role in: Reviewing, analyzing, and providing final stress justification for reworks and repairs on defects in airframe primary structuresEnsuring repair acceptance based on equivalent strength capability and equivalent account stress levelsWorking closely with Design Engineers to provide timely stress substantiations for structural modificationsCollaborating with the Stress Engineering team to resolve complex technical issues related to structural integrityPerforming detailed static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses to ensure airworthiness complianceCreating comprehensive documentation of stress analysis work files following industry standardsUtilizing finite element analysis tools to model and evaluate structural behavior under various loading conditionsSupporting Material Review Board (MRB) activities with technical expertise and engineering judgmentYour profileGood conversational English (B2, C1, C2)Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in aircraft structural analysis (Mid & Senior levels)Experience in Material Review Board (MRB) or Manufacturer Authorized Procedures for commercial or business aircraftStrong background in static, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis, and finite element analysisExperience working in design offices focused on aircraft structures (Airframe)In-depth knowledge of stress calculations and justifications for aerospace applicationsSolid understanding of aeronautical materials and their propertiesProficiency with analysis tools such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, and FEMAPExperience with CAD software including CATIA V5 and SOLIDWORKSKnowledge of crack growth analysis software such as NASGRO and/or AFGROStrong skills in MS Office with emphasis on Excel and VBA programmingAbility to work autonomously while maintaining excellent teamwork capabilitiesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesWhat you will love about working hereEmpowered Careers with Purpose: Work on meaningful projects that use technology to solve real-world challenges.
