Attendance is expected and fully supported.This is a 12-week internship during summer 2026. Coinbase is looking for a highly motivated Tax Controllership Intern to work with our tax team and play a meaningful role in our continued growth and achievement of operational excellence during the internship. The Tax Controllership Intern must possess some accounting knowledge, an ability to communicate clearly, and a desire to have a beneficial experience in a dynamic, high-growth technology company. Reporting to the Tax Controller, the Tax Controllership Intern will have a chance to work directly with our Coinbase tax controllership and compliance team. Our tax team ensures that Coinbase complies fully with its tax obligations in all of the jurisdictions in which Coinbase operates. This includes providing for taxes accurately and completely in its financial statements and supporting business operations to ensure an optimal and efficient tax structure. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): Assist with key areas of the company’s tax controllership and compliance processes, focusing most prominently on tax provisioning and financial reporting. Assist with critical balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules. Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures. Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures for all tasks. Provide assistance and support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility. Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned. What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): Possess excellent analytical skills, business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills. Able to work well in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent detail-orientation and process-orientation skills. Strong work ethic and team player. Nice to haves: Degree or currently pursue BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field. Knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge a plus. Basic knowledge of digital assets and the crypto economy, or a desire to learn.
