The selected intern is expected to report to the office up to three times per week or as   determined   by the team.       About the Team :   AV   Platform System Integration and Validation team   is responsible for   defining, implementing, and   optimizing   system integration & validation to ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of the AV platform software. We combine deep   expertise   in hardware, software features, and vehicle systems engineering to ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of the ADAS/AV platform software.      What You Will   Do  :   We are currently hiring system integration & automation development roles.   Execute functional bring-up and system integration on Subsystem and System Benches.    Evaluate system interactions across   compute   platforms, ECUs ,   sensors .   Execute performance and validation tests using simulation, bench (HIL/SIL )   and on-road fleets.   Document test results,   consolidate   findings, and support root-cause investigations .   Automation   development  .   Use Python and various automation tools to test software and accelerate development cycles.   Analyze data to improve performance, robustness, and validation efficiency.   Support creation of datasets, scenario libraries, and automated test pipelines on HIL & SIL.      Required Qualifications:    Currently   enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and   in the process of obtaining   a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or   Engineering   (Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics or equivalent).      Experience coding in an industry-standard language   ( e.g   Python , C/C++).   Able to work fulltime,   40 hours   per week     Preferred Qualifications:     S trong   interest   work in g   wit h   h ardware,   embedded s ystem s,   s ystem   i ntegration,   a utomated   t esting   or related areas.    Hands-on mindset: you enjoy building, testing, debugging, and learning through doing.    Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings clearly.    Basic understanding of   e mbedded   s ystems.    Familiarity with communication protocols   l ike   CAN, LIN , Ethernet .    Coursework or project experience in Python and embedded microcontrollers.    Intent to return to   degree -program after the completion of the internship.   G raduating between December 2026 and   August   2027.     What   you’ll   get from us (Benefits):    Paid US GM Holidays    GM Family First Vehicle Discount Program    Result-based potential for growth within GM    Intern events to network with company leaders and peers
