This means the successful candidate is expected to report to an assigned facility on a full-time basis.           Each successful candidate will be offered an onsite role at a specific location. You will be working in a fast-paced plant environment where you will learn interpersonal skills including the ability to prioritize, balance multiple projects simultaneously, and meet goals.        Job Location   We have opportunities available in the locations below for this role. Please indicate in your application which of these locations you are interested in.   Fort Wayne, IN Fairfax, KS Spring Hill, TN   Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to:   Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.   Read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections.   Promptly detect and respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals.   Wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and safety shoes.   Work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold).   Frequently and repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch and reach to perform work.   Lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds and periodically carry or lift materials weighing up to 40 lbs.   Occasionally sit, climb (including ladders and lifts) and drive vehicles and equipment. Required Qualifications:      Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas:  Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Business/Management or Organizational Leadership   Must be graduating between August 2026 and June 2028   Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week   Must be w illing to work in a plant environment       What Will Give You a Competitive Edge ( P referred Q ualifications) :   Highly proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint   Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skill ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience   Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities or service organizations   Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, etc.)   Exposure to logistics , packaging or manufacturing   Knowledge of procurement software and databases   Knowledge of materials management   Experience with interpreting market data   Exposure to reading blueprints and understanding basic engineering documents   Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment   Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability and trust       Start dates for this internship role are May & June of 202 6 .        What you’ll get from us (Benefits):   Paid US GM Holidays    GM Family First Vehicle Discount Program    Result-based potential for growth within GM   Intern events to network with company leaders and peers
