Job Description Summary As a Sr. software engineer in Imaging Platform team, you’ll be responsible for technically leading the team with complete ownership of design, quality, and technical roadmap of next generation platform solutions for GE Healthcare Products. This platform includes Kubernetes as microservice orchestrator with different platform services for authentication and authorization, messaging, database, caching, DICOM, Camera, etc. Requires 8-12 years of hands-on development experience in microservice development using GO or Java, Angular, containerization using Kubernetes / Docker on Linux Env, deployment and packaging using helm, Python and Ansible. Experience of leading technical discussions, propose design solutions, technically mentoring team members, manage external stakeholders and bringing innovation at work. With great problem-solving and leadership abilities you will be responsible for creating architectural solutions for software design and implementation to guide the development team. Job Description Responsibilities Collaborate with software developers and imaging teams to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions Apply Agile principles of SDLC and methodologies, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques Provide architectural leadership to tech leads and team members Act as a member of the Software council, representing the face of high quality design and defining forward looking technology roadmap Collaborate with Architects, Technical Leads, Product Owners and Software Developers to ensure coverage of functional and non-functional requirements for platforms and imaging solutions Propose high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end solutions Apply principles of SDLC, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques in alignment of Healthcare domain Participate architecture / design reviews and ensure meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project Ensure performance and security parameters are adhered by the development team Qualifications and experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Math or related field A minimum of 8 to 12 years of professional experience (include technical skill) Primary Skills: Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills Experience in designing architecture of full stack applications. Extensive experience in microservices architecture (GRBC, Messaging), Containerization & Orchestration (Kubernestes) Extensive experience in Web Design pattern, Micro frontend development pattern and solutioning Extensive development experience in Web UI Technologies - HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, XML, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, Node JS, Angular, React and Responsive Web Design Extensive experience in developing UI framework, common components & applications Rest based Microservices using GO and Java Spring boot Hands-on experience on browser based debugging Extensive exposure to automated UI testing frameworks like Jasmine/Karma, Mocha BDD based automated unit testing using Cucumber Experience with troubleshooting customer issues and escalations Secondary Skills: Infra and PaaS integration using Containerization technologies Kubernetes / Docker, Grafana, Prometheus HELM Charts, YAML, Ansible, Python, DevOps Pipeline Integration Web UI Technologies - HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, XML, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, Node JS, React and Responsive Web Design Security domain – IDM, OpenID and Outh2.0 Inclusion and Diversity GE Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
