The Opportunity "FICO is looking for a Sales Tax Manager to join our tight-knit tax team working from home.  This position will report to the Tax Director and will be responsible for all sales and use tax and property tax reporting for FICO.  The position provides the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of sales tax compliance within FICO’s unique business.” – The Hiring Manager What You’ll Contribute Manage the Indirect Tax Function, including the filing of all sales and use, GST, indirect tax credits, and property tax returns.   Maintain all tax systems for the compliance and indirect tax reporting function and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Manage, reconcile, and own sales and other indirect tax general ledger accounts and assist in providing reconciliations to accounting team.  Analyze and interpret any new legislation and court decisions and proactively ensure that appropriate planning, compliance, and reporting actions are undertaken.   Manage sales tax audits and work with state tax authorities. Assist in the development of systems and procedures that lead to process improvements. Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.  What We’re Seeking Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred).  Some years of experience of sales/use taxation experience.  Strong knowledge of multi-state sales and use tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in tax compliance software and ER systems (Oracle, OneSource, Alvara, etc). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tax technology tools. Demonstrates ability to work independently and in a team environment.
