General Summary: The Asia Footwear Quality Engineer II plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing team, focusing and ensuring that our manufacturing partners meet CSC's high-quality standards and maintain product integrity to retain and delight our consumers. Report in Asia Footwear Lean & PI Director, work closely with manufacturing partners around Asia to identify and resolve quality issues, develop improvement plans and monitor performance metrics. Partnering with the rest of the Asia Footwear Office, the incumbent will encompass overall operational performance, including on-time delivery and related corporate programs, including compliance with legal and regulatory standards. __________________________________________________________ Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1.    Overall On-Site Quality Management:     Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with supervisors and Asia Footwear office to ensure alignment on company objectives is crucial for this incumbent. Always share status update with details, possible options and progress.      Standards Enforcement: Uphold and monitor factory quality management system and ensure compliance with established manufacturing standards. Perform routine on-site audits to assess the quality management system and current standards, engaging with various stakeholders such as factory leadership, QC/QA teams, and technical engineers to ensure adherence to quality metrics.     Trainer and Coach: Following the supplier quality assurance manual, deliver training to factory certificated auditors when needed. Monitor their performance on a regular basis. Provide guidance and feedback for continuous improvement.     Issue Resolution: Identify issues during daily audits, collaborate with factory teams to define priorities, and collect data to inform problem-solving strategies.     System Improvement: Besides issue closure, proactively recommend and enhance the factory management system, aiming for a more efficient and effective process. 2.    Inbound Material Quality Management     Verify factories’ material checking processes and standards. Train and coach related operators and supervisors as needed. Provide calibration regularly.     Lead onsite problem-solving for material discrepancies and request support if needed.   3.    Supporting Production Readiness and Learning:     Participate in production trials and master all established standards.     Collect and test production samples to confirm compliance.     Apply pattern engineering knowledge to improve stitching.     Study, implement any improvements for the key topics such as bonding, waterproofing. 4.    Additional Support Functions:     Support the implementation of Best Practices in all factory locations.     Work closely with the Asia Footwear Office on any changes needed during production.     Stay informed of new knowledge to improve quality, productivity, or efficiency.     Establish a professional, industrious working relationship with all factory partners.     Maintain unquestionable integrity and honesty in all business relationships.     Be prepared to take on other duties as may be assigned from time to time.     Carry out the details of this Job Description not only in word but in spirit and reality too. __________________________________________________________ Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:     Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, quality, or industrial design field is preferred.     At least 4 years of footwear experience, preferably with global brands.     A strong understanding and rich experience in the principles of quality management systems, familiar with factory manufacturing processes.     Demonstrated good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.     Demonstrated solid problem-solving skills and a results-oriented approach.
