Position Summary As a Senior Sales Executive, Direct Sales (Power Generation), you will be responsible for managing and expanding our Data Center Key Accounts portfolio in Japan. This includes developing long-term relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth across complex, turnkey solutions for the Data Center market. Responsibilities: Manage pre-defined Data Center Key Accounts in Japan and identify opportunities to win and develop new Data Center clients. Develop and maintain long-term growth strategies with key accounts, focusing on turnkey solutions that include equipment delivery, customized scopes, peripherals, logistics, installation & commissioning, and service agreements. Lead the preparation of complex tenders, including technical and commercial clarifications, specifications, terms & conditions, and scope of works. Develop holistic quotations covering commercial offers, bills of materials, technical submittals, service information, and related documentation. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—including application & sales engineering, controlling, project management, service, network management, order management, R&D, and subsidiaries—to successfully quote and execute turnkey projects. Achieve sales targets and KPIs as set for Data Center Direct Sales. Monitor and analyse global and regional market trends in the Data Center industry to support strategic business decisions. Utilize internal sales and information tools (e.g., CRM, configuration tools, technical libraries) for sales activities, planning, and reporting, ensuring adherence to internal processes and the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct. Position Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the Data Center industry or emergency power generation business. Proven track record in sales—leading opportunities from lead generation to quote, order, project completion, and installations. Fluency in both spoken and written Japanese and English. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30%). Strong understanding of Data Center infrastructure and technical requirements. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills. Independent, reliable, and proactive personality.
