The Histology Technician is responsible for embedding, staining, sectioning, and cover slipping histologic and Mohs specimens. You’ll work closely with Pathologists, Dermatopathologists, and Mohs surgeons to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable slide results. What You’ll Do Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and cover slipping of histologic and Mohs specimens Collaborate with Pathologists, Dermatopathologists, and Mohs surgeons to deliver high-quality results Maintain accuracy and efficiency while working independently Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and quality standards Minimum Requirements Associate’s degree with 60 college credits (including 6 biology, 6 chemistry, and 12 science credits such as chemistry, biology, physics, or microbiology) 3 months of supervised training in the field Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills Excellent organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field Certification as a Histology Technician (ASCP) Eligibility to obtain ASMS certification within one year Documented laboratory training in a Mohs lab
