We deliver sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products We are now seeking a motivated and result driven talent to join our Scent division as Associate Scientist - Fragrance Analyst (9 month contract). You will provide analytical support for the Body category. Your role is focused on the competitor consumer product analysis in close collaboration with our perfumer and evaluator teams. You will also join our global analytical team and contribute to global development projects. The role is based in our Scent Creative Center in Neuilly-sur-Seine Together we can achieve greatness and make a real impact. Your potential is our inspiration. Where You’ll Make a Difference Competitive products analysis Be a key analytical partner for perfumers and evaluators. Interact with requestors and management to define projects priorities Carry out perfume extraction of market products and perform GC/MS analysis Determine qualitative and quantitative compositions of fragrances by interpreting GC/MS spectral data Reconstruct the fragrance by creating a formula based upon those interpretations as well as olfactive evaluation using natural essential oils, synthetic materials, specialty bases and considering olfactive Identify and share relevant competition insights Global method development Collaborate with IFF analytical network to contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical techniques, tools and methods Present results, interpretations, and next steps Others Prepare documentation of analysis and maintain records in appropriate databases Organize and maintain lab supplies and instruments and keep maintenance records  Follow safe laboratory practices What Makes You the Right Fit Minimum 2 years’ experience in analytical chemistry applied to fragrance analysis using GC/MS. Thorough ability on chromatographic data interpretation Olfactive and Analytical knowledge of composition and main components of natural essential oils, synthetics, and specialty bases Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry Expertise in sample preparation Data consolidation and insights generation Ability to operate and troubleshoot GC/MS High level of familiarity with current computing and information technology tools Good knowledge of Headspace, SPME, SBSE and GC-O techniques Knowledge in product formulation and organic chemistry How Would You Stand Out?
