Where You’ll Make a Difference Perform reactive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure operational continuity. Execute planned preventive maintenance schedules, including annual plant shutdown activities. Diagnose faults and carry out emergency repairs efficiently and safely. Support capital expenditure installations and implement improvement projects. Maintain accurate engineering systems and contribute to their continuous improvement. Provide technical assistance to the Maintenance/Engineering section, including out-of-hours support. Act as a leader for less-skilled assistants and collaborate with engineers and vendors. Participate in fire safety activities as a trained Fire-Fighter or Fire Team Leader. Support 24/7 operations through standby duties, call-out rota, and occasional weekend coverage. What Makes You the Right Fit Completed electrical apprenticeship with a minimum City & Guilds qualification. Proven fault-finding expertise and industrial electrical competence. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment. Willingness to undertake formal HNC Instrumentation training. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and adaptability in a changing environment. Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
