Job Title: Financial Accountant Location:  Paris, France (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-time The Job We're hiring a Financial Accountant based in La Défense, France, to join our finance team at AVEVA SAS. This role ensures full accounting and tax compliance with complex and evolving French regulations. You’ll support month-end closings, manage intercompany transactions, and serve as the key contact for our shared service centre. Solid knowledge of French GAAP and local tax laws is essential. We're seeking a candidate with at least 2 years of experience, fluent in French and proficient in English. Join us to help drive financial accuracy and continuous process improvement.   Key responsibilities Month-end and year-end closings Tax compliance (VAT, DES, etc.) Weekly cash forecasting Internal controls and audit preparation Liaison with SSC for finance processes D eep dive into data and existing processes Meet deadlines while managing multiple projects. Essential requirements 2+ years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of French GAAP Fluent in French, proficient in English Excellent analytical and communication skills Comfortable with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint AVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.  Background checks will be conducted in accordance with local laws and may, subject to those laws,  include proof of educational attainment, employment history verification, proof of work authorization, criminal records, identity verification, credit check.  Certain positions dealing with sensitive and/or third party personal data may involve additional background check criteria.
