Location Brooklyn, New York Shift: Evening (United States of America) Description: Nursing Assistant - Float Pool –   At New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, certified nursing assistants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.   Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed. This is a part-time evening shift ( 3:3pm-midnight) 3 shifts per week- weekends - at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.      Preferred Criteria ·       Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital. Required Criteria ·       High school diploma or GED ·       Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program         OR         Currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year          level or had completed at least one clinical practicum  ·       Current BLS Training from the American Heart Association ·       Excellent communication and customer service skills ·       Basic computer skills Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
