In this role, you will navigation through our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization. Feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. This is a full time Monday-Friday 40-hour work week. Hours will vary as needed from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Must be willing to travel/provide coverage to Ortho department sites below and to help cover the other Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed. Locations: 1985 Crompond Road, Bldg E, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 35 South Riverside Avenue, Suite 106, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520 1756 Route 9D, Cold Spring, NY 10516 Must be willing to travel/provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations listed above as needed. Preferred Criteria Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology. Experience working in a busy out-patient practice. Orthopedics or Radiology experience. Knowledge of Coding: ICD 10, CPT-4 , health insurance benefits/requirements. EMR experience/EPIC Required Criteria 1+ year of clerical experience. High School Diploma or equivalent GED Effective communication skills verbal and written. Superior Customer Service skills. Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
