Social Worker - Adult Partial Hospital Program As a Social Worker in the Adult Partial Hospital Program, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide individual, family and group psychotherapy and discharge planning to adult patients with various psychiatric diagnoses. The Partial Hospital Program is a rapid-paced, brief, intensive treatment program. The Adult Partial Hospital Program (PHP) provides comprehensive evaluation and intensive, short-term treatment to adults 18 years of age and older with acute psychiatric illnesses including psychosis, eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders. The program functions to avert or shorten inpatient hospitalizations, providing a structured, supportive environment for those who can live in the community and can be treated outside of the inpatient setting. This is a full - time (35 hours/week; 8:00AM-4:00PM) position at our NewYork- Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health   Preferred Criteria At least three years of previous Social Work experience Outpatient behavioral health experience with adults Training in CBT for Psychosis Experience in Group Work Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Required Criteria Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) Limited Permit (must supply exam date prior to start of employment) Fieldwork or previous experience in a psychiatric setting Demonstrated integrity and adherence to social work ethics and professional standards Capacity to form a therapeutic relationship with a variety of patients and to maintain a neutral therapeutic stance Knowledge base of bio-psychosocial model, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV (DSM-IV) diagnoses, criteria for treatment of different diagnoses in an acute care setting, behavioral risk factors and of the impact of mental illness upon individual and family functioning Competency in individual, family and group treatment modalities and treatment techniques appropriate to an inpatient treatment setting Ability to conduct initial evaluations and psychosocial assessments and to establish individualized and measurable treatment goals Knowledge base of community and discharge planning resources and processes Effective organizational skills to manage clinical, discharge planning and documentation requirements within assigned LOS of inpatient hospitalization Ability to communicate effectively and to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team Demonstrated self-awareness to identify learning needs and capacity to apply supervisory feedback into practice Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
