Reporting to the Head of Strategic Growth team in APAC, the key focus of this role is to identify, facilitate and execute on growth opportunities in new geographies and in existing countries for Illumina’s 5-Base Solutions, Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics product portfolio within APAC, helping Illumina to achieve key corporate goals. This Business Lead role will be responsible for leading the commercial efforts for Illumina’s 5-Base Solutions, Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics product portfolio in APAC. The role will drive geographical, market and application expansion to meet financial targets and growth needs of the APAC region in this segment. This Business Leader will lead sales execution for 5-Base Solutions, Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics, and thereby work with other members of the Strategic Growth team as well as global and sub-regional teams and general managers in APAC to enable sales and define best practices, provide strategic direction and coordinate cross functionally and across multiple geographies. Position Responsibilities: Be a key partner in sales execution across APAC. Work with sub-regional teams and cross functions ( e.g., Marketing) to develop and facilitate adoption of the strategic plan to the regional teams. Develop and maintain strong external and internal relationships with key stakeholders and utilise them to deliver commercial growth opportunities in the region. Work cross functionally to identify gaps and business opportunities, build effective processes and partner to develop strategic plans to address these opportunities and grow incremental business. Build processes to define best practices in assessing strategic growth opportunities within the 5-Base Solutions, Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics space, build deployable growth models and ensure accountability to achieve impactful outcomes. Contribute to business case development, defining investment needs, go-to-market strategies, deliverables and expansion opportunities. Develop, implement and monitor the regional commercial growth plans (through identification of key success metrics) for Illumina’s single cell portfolio to meet both the revenue and strategic goals. High-level collaboration with other cross functional teams & staff to ensure coordination of activities and understanding of common goals. Provide strategic and competitive feedback to Marketing team and partner to develop robust competitive strategies. Communicate the customer needs from both internal and customer requirements providing a channel to product marketing and Research & Development. Work with Commercial Operations to develop programs and tools to ensure effective commercial growth management and communication. Provide regular updates to Sr Management on commercial growth progress, actions and outcomes. As part of a cross functional team, help to build and execute a plan to raise the ability of the wider sales team to identify, qualify and close single cell opportunities. All About You Requirements: Demonstrate a customer-first mindset to ensure customer success. Typically has 12+ years of direct work experience with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in sales life sciences or related industries required. Experience in 5-Base Solutions, Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics required. Experience and understanding of genomic technologies and how they can be utilized in the 5-Base Solutions, Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics markets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team. Ability to successfully operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Ability to evaluate new market opportunities. Proven ability to lead and influence a broad spectrum of constituents (product management, sales, etc.) with divergent interests in order to create a defined and focused course of action. Proficiency in English is a must. Outstanding written, verbal, presentation, and training skills, capable of conveying complex information with clarity. Proven ability to engage in complex customer interactions whilst maintaining positive customer relations. Must be willing to travel up to 50% across APAC.
