Position Summary: The Finance Manager/Snr Finance Analyst II is a vital role providing support to Operations and Finance leaders. This position requires an ability to be adaptable to fast changing business/operational conditions, while providing timely and accurate analytics and reporting to Finance and Operations management. Strong cross-functional collaboration, ability to influence across the organization as well as possession of outstanding analytical skills are required. The candidate needs to have an in-depth knowledge of Operations Finance, Cost Accounting concepts, inventory, absorption, variances, gross margin, applicable China and US GAAP accounting standards and manufacturing acumen. Position Responsibilities: Product Costing Lead and supervise all costing function in support of the China Manufacturing Operations Understand business drivers and to provide Management with timely variance and analysis reports of product cost and manufacturing KPIs. Lead and support annual Global Cost Roll in close collaboration with Singapore and San Diego Costing teams. Develop labor/overhead rates and manage the standard cost setting process to ensure accurate inventory valuation Take charge of monthly forecast and manage the annual budget exercise relating to cost of production and variances. Finance lead for cycle counts and inventory valuation matters. Financial Planning & Analysis Serve as a financial business partner for the China Manufacturing site, building key relationships and supporting the achievement of site priorities and key objectives Enable prudent decision-making by collaborating with site leaders across several departments to evaluate the financial implications of site-specific strategic choices and build thorough business cases Work with business and Management to monitor ongoing Operations costs and help identify opportunities for improving margins Collaborate with systems teams and other site finance leads to enable visibility into site performance KPIs and share best practices Review and present to Management monthly financial close and business performance. Lead the development and management of annual operating plans for manufacturing spend, OpEx, CapEx and headcount and monitor adherence to approved budget Financial Accounting & Reporting Partner with Accounting Manager in setting up the infrastructure including SAP system, licenses and etc to enable local manufacturing Provide necessary support in local statutory compliance and prepare statutory financial statements Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and for compliance with policy and procedures Maximize long-term shareholder value while protecting corporate assets Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience, with 1-3 years of Management experience. Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills and ability to establish strong rapport and partnerships at all levels of the organization Self-directed and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment. Hands on and able to work with minimal supervision Clear leadership and development potential Highly motivated with positive attitude and strong work ethics Superb verbal and written communication and project management skills Exceptional commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines Involved in day-to-day activities where their acquired expertise and knowledge provide focus to Management Hands-on experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP) and COGNOS TM1 (or equivalent financial planning & analysis tool) Cost accounting experience : Analytical background as it pertains to identifying and explaining manufacturing variances (absorption, spend, etc.), inventory, and other gross margin-related and financial drivers to finance and business Strong understanding of corporate financing principles; NPV, budgeting processes, forecasting, financial modelling, etc. Good understanding of US GAAP and China GAAP and their application Proven ability to evaluate and solve complex problems and the strategic implications of different business approaches All listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.
