Work with complex castings and forgings, and machine parts from bar stock. Deburr parts during machining #operations. Read and understand all types of drawings and detailed engineering sketches to work with castings and forgings as well as machine parts from bar stock. This includes selecting proper holding devices, chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc. Builds tools and fixtures. Indicate machine axis, fixtures, tooling, and components as required to meet given tolerances. __ Set-up and operate manual lathes and mills. Work to close tolerances and inspect all work with various types of inspection equipment (hand gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gauge, functional gauges, optical comparator aka shadow graph) to ensure acceptable quality and #productivity. Indicate machine axis, fixtures, tooling, and components as required to meet given tolerances. __ #Troubleshoot and diagnose #machine process issues Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and #data.
