Licensed Entity Leadership & Governance __ Serve as the statutory director of the Dutch DNB-licensed Payment Institution, maintaining a strong governance framework in compliance with DNB requirements and EEA regulatory standards. __ Liaise effectively with the Board, Dutch Central Bank, and auditors to ensure ongoing compliance, timely reporting, and effective supervision. __ Oversee regulatory audits, license renewals, and all supervisory interactions in line with PSD2 and related regulatory obligations. __ Strategic Direction & Execution __ Set and execute a clear strategic vision aligned with Tencent’s global fintech and gaming monetization goals within Europe. __ Drive the company's mission, values, and long-term growth objectives while balancing risk, regulatory responsibilities, and innovation. __ Payment Operations & Treasury Oversight __ Lead and optimize core payment processing, safeguarding of customer funds, and treasury functions under strict regulatory oversight. __ Ensure robust operational controls, fund segregation, and transaction monitoring in accordance with AMLD and PSD2 guidelines. __ Financial & P&L Management __ Own the overall P&L of Midas Europe, driving profitability while ensuring sustainable financial management of regulated operations. __ Implement scalable revenue models, cost efficiencies, and capital management strategies that support the organization’s growth. __ Merchant Growth & Platform Expansion __ Spearhead the onboarding and expansion of gaming and digital merchants, ensuring regulatory alignment for EEA operations. __ Support Tencent’s international monetization efforts through compliant, innovative payment products tailored to the European gaming market. __ Partnership & Ecosystem Development __ Cultivate high-value relationships with acquirers, PSPs, banks, and payment networks to enhance payment capabilities and commercial scale. __ Lead complex negotiations and integrations with both upstream (financial institutions) and downstream (game merchants/platforms) partners. __ Product Innovation & Regulatory Compliance __ Guide the design and implementation of new payment products within the constraints of a licensed entity, ensuring full compliance with European and Dutch financial services regulations. __ Monitor, assess, and integrate evolving regulatory and market trends (e.g., #PSD3, #AML/#CFT) into company strategy. __ Leadership & Team Development __ Build and lead a high-performing, compliance-aware, cross-functional team across operations, risk, compliance, finance, and commercial functions. __ Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and regulatory excellence. __ Who We Look For Qualifications & Experience __ Proven leadership experience as CEO, Managing Director, or Board Member within a licensed payment institution or regulated financial services entity in the Netherlands or EU. __ Demonstrated expertise in regulatory frameworks, including PSD2, AML/CFT, and Dutch Central Bank supervisory practices. __ Track record in managing DNB-licensed entities, with firsthand experience in governance, audits, reporting, and supervisory interaction. __ Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, including acquiring, settlement, safeguarding, and cross-border flows. __ Strong experience in the digital payments, fintech, or gaming monetization sectors, preferably with international reach. __ Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging regulators, boards, and global corporate leadership. __ Skilled in financial planning, capital management, and P&L ownership. __ Fluent in English (mandatory); Mandarin highly desirable; Dutch at B1 or higher is an advantage. __ Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred. __ Based in the Netherlands and work in a hybrid or on-site executive capacity.
