About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 Are you passionate about cars, technology, and the future of mobility? The Automotive Supply Chain and Technology team at S&P Global Mobility is in search of a Senior Consultant supporting strategic decisions related to automotive content planning. Your role Develop strategic relationships with domestic automakers to act as a key liaison with S&P Global technical experts and consulting specialists to bring innovative, value-add solutions to support business planning decisions Support customized client-tailored projects around key topics within the automotive industry, ranging from vehicle connectivity and autonomous technology to disruptions in the supply value chain Pull insights out of the data to present research to the industry either directly to clients or in internal/external presentations via webinars or at in-person events Actively support clients in understanding the market, our methodology, and using our data to support key business decisions Support our sales colleagues in demonstrating products, capabilities, and expertise to prospective clients Work collaboratively with an international team of analysts and advisors supporting every major market Develop and nurture an industry network to collect perspectives, propose solutions, and identify business opportunities Your team You will be working in the Automotive Supply Chain, Technology, and Aftermarket organization, a global team of nearly 100 analysts. You will interact daily with a global team working across consumer-facing automotive features as well as a dynamic advisory organization delivering strategic solutions to clients. Your expertise You have: A depth of understanding about the automaker feature selection process, cost consideration, market segmentation, and customer value proposition for in-vehicle features Experience in vehicle technology competitive benchmarking, leveraging consumer preferences to develop feature roadmaps and define differentiation strategies Demonstrable communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, in particular to international stakeholders, with the ability to deliver strategic recommendations to executive-level audiences Familiarity with consumer-facing automotive features, in particular optional content, including connectivity, entertainment, convenience, comfort, advanced driver assistance, lighting, traditional interiors, and so on. Strong motivation and ability to self-organize to achieve difficult targets under tight time constraints Working experience of these automotive features at an automaker, with product and feature planning preferred, or client-facing experience in strategy consulting. Experience in working with or advising Japanese OEMs (e.g., Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, etc.) highly preferred Experience with automotive market data platforms or feature benchmarking tools You are: Ideally 7+ years experienced in the areas of automotive feature planning with consumer-facing content Passionate about the automotive industry Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with understanding of database mechanics helpful (e.g., Access, SQL) Fluent in Japanese and English About S&P Global Mobility At S&P Global Mobility, we provide invaluable insights derived from unmatched automotive data, enabling our customers to anticipate change and make decisions with conviction.
