About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 09 The Team: Editorial, Design and Publishing’s Data Visualization team creates clear and stunning visuals from our proprietary data for our clients. This team continuously seeks innovative ways to tell data stories through S&P Global’s unique brand identity. Responsibilities and Impact: This role will bridge the gap between design and development, contributing to the creation of compelling visual representations of data that drive insights and decision-making. Create interactive data visualizations through both third-party tools and in-house, custom-coded solutions. Make improvements to existing interactive chart templates. Explore SDK and Live API capabilities for our third-party interactive charting tool, Flourish. Act as liaison between the Design team and the Product team to ensure our visuals are optimally and accessibly displayed. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Coding languages: Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS Framework: Python/Flask Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications Experience working in a collaborative environment Understanding of graphic design best practices Additional Preferred Qualifications: Developer Tools and Platforms such as Git, VS Code, GCP, AWS, Figma, Hadoop, Alteryx, Tableau, JIRA Libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, OpenCV, Requests, BeautifulSoup, Plotly Familiarity with generative AI and large language models What’s In It For You?
