This is a contingent position based upon contract award KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in the Northern Virginia area. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Responsibilities : Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and provides support to design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical guidance and support for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Provides technical support to application and tool development teams. Coordinates with software architect and other technical delivery team members to overcome technical obstacles. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel and government staff Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Eight (8) or more years’ experience with system requirements, system development and implementation, system testing, etc. Ability to derive an understanding of stakeholder needs and functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness from system requirements Experience supporting system requirements and system integration at the enterprise level Experience following a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces Experience with Agile project management principles and processes Desired Qualifications: Ten (10) or more years’ experience with system requirements, system development and implementation, system testing, etc. Experience supporting the federal government or DoD Clearance : TS/SCI w poly is required Belong, Connect and Grow at KBR At KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.  These inform all that we do and are at the heart of our commitment to, and ongoing journey toward being a People First company.  That commitment is central to our team of team’s philosophy and fosters an environment where everyone can Belong, Connect and Grow.
