Job Summary: KBR, is currently recruiting a System Dynamics Specialist to join our team at Beavercreek, OH to support our customer, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) in their graduate education program. Roles and Responsibilities: Reviews and oversees course designs to ensure alignment for the series of courses for System Dynamics graduate education.  Develop assignments and testing instruments to teach and assess student knowledge in these domain areas.  Provide feedback to students on their learning and assessments. Recommend program changes to align with DoD and Air Force educational needs.. Assist the government in acquiring new solutions in the Systems Dynamics domains by writing technical requirements, user stories, interoperability exchanges, acquisition plans and schedules, test plans, and test data needed to fully realize intelligence modernization. Guide students, perform analysis and experimental work through STELLA modeling to understand and analyze complex, dynamic systems in development and acquisition. Define the architecture, workflow, feedback loops, causal relationships within a system to understand systems’ behaviors over time. Investigate existing deployed systems for potential upgrades or more intensive system dynamics review. Conduct mission, task, and function analyses of military systems at a level of detail suitable for alternative design decisions. Provide user engagement strategies, collated results from user engagements, and requirements derived from user experiences. Conduct system analysis using system dynamics models, fault trees, event trees, root-cause analyses, and other appropriate system analysis tools. Required Skills & Experience: Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills. Experience developing curriculum, course management, Canvas learning management system. Required Clearance: Not required Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in Systems Dynamics, Systems Engineering, or related fields. Experience in teaching Systems Dynamics and guiding research in a military graduate education environment. At least ten (10) years’ related work experience is required. Travel: Less than 30 % travel is expected for this position.  Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations. Work Environment: This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, test & evaluation facilities, and from home when the mission allows. Physical Demands: Physical demands of this position include ability to: Be independently mobile. Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a Part Time On Call (PTOC) position.  Normal days and hours will be Monday-Friday 0800-1700, and other times as required.  Course schedules are based on student and faculty availability and may be in the evenings. Basic Compensation: $60-$74/hour The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
