Title: Technical Advisor - Machinery / Packages Technical Advisor – Mechanical (Packaged Eqpt) Under broad direction, functions as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities of the company. Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies. Performs advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognized authority for broad program areas or in an intensely specialized area. Job role contributes directly to value creation. Willing to travel globally and undertake short term assignment with aboard offices and project site as needed to support projects. SKILLS Skills are typically acquired through a graduation in Mechanical or allied Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15+ years. Exposure to Offshore and LNG / FLNG projects is desirable Incumbent will be responsible for specification, selection and services relating to Process units like large Gas Compression systems and accessories, Utility packaged units including Boilers, Refrigeration Packages,  HVAC Systems, etc  Familiarity with Material handling systems  is desirable. Exposure to engineering of technology packages and FLNG/LNG and Offshore facilities is desirable Additional duties Excellent understanding of design of Package Systems with exposure to FEED stage is desirable Good understanding of Process flows / PIDs, Schematics Guide engineers in Preparation of datasheets, Specifications for packages  Perform technical bid evaluations. Vendor drawing review and engineering coordination of technical information with vendors and company engineering specialists. Hands-on experience in of Air-Conditioning and Ventilation systems for  industrial facilities is an advantage . Good knowledge of sizing of air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, etc is  desirable. Experience in witnessing factory acceptance tests at Vendor facilities is desirable. Field commissioning and startup support when required will be an added advantage. Technical Skills acquired with experience includes some of the following BE / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering field At least 12 years of progressive experience, specifically in engineering of packaged equipment.
