Duties and Responsibilities. Leads and manages assigned fire and emergency services personnel during both emergency and non-emergency situations.  Responds to and serves as crew leader or incident commander at emergencies including structural, aircraft, HazMat/CBRNE, rescue, medical and other incidents as directed Responsible for the operational readiness of assigned personnel and equipment, supervises assigned personnel during activities such as training, work details, crew-level administration, fire prevention, public education and communications.  If qualified, may serves as a fill-in Assistant Fire Chief.  Obeys orders of direct supervisors, cooperates with fellow supervisors, follows the orders of medical direction, maintains a neat appearance, physical fitness, acceptable grooming standards and good conduct. Education and Certification Requirements REQUIRED: High School Diploma or Equivalent DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Fire Officer I DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Fire Inspector I DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Fire Instructor I DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Fire Fighter I & II DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Airport Firefighter DoD, IFSAC or Pro Borad HazMat Awareness & Operations Nationally Registered EMT-Basic or higher PREFERRED: DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board HAZMAT Technician DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Driver Operator Pumper DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Driver Operator ARFF DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Driver Operator Aerial DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board Driver Operator MWS
