At PGIM, You Can! What you will do PGIM Fixed Income is seeking a Senior Python AI Engineer to join our Credit team. You will develop innovative AI solutions leveraging AWS Bedrock and build robust, well-tested backend services using Python and FastAPI to transform our business processes and enhance decision-making capabilities. What you can expect Design and implement advanced AI applications using AWS Bedrock services Create intelligent systems that extract insights from financial documents and unstructured data Build high-performance Python backend services using FastAPI with comprehensive test coverage Develop efficient GraphRAG architectures to enhance knowledge retrieval and reasoning Create scalable API endpoints for model serving and implement Converse API interfaces Optimize model performance, cost, and latency for production environments What you will bring 3+ years’ experience working with AI/ML services and Python backend development Strong software engineering skills with FastAPI and RESTful API design Expertise in Python testing frameworks including unittest, pytest, and testcontainers, with experience in load testing using Locust Proficiency building and deploying Converse API interfaces for conversational applications Experience implementing RAG and GraphRAG architectures for enterprise applications Proficiency with AWS Bedrock services, including model deployment and integration Experience with knowledge graphs and vector databases (OpenSearch, Neptune Analytics) Experience creating integration tests with TestContainers for database and service dependencies Ability to implement comprehensive test automation pipelines with robust coverage metrics Experience implementing evaluation frameworks for AI systems Understanding of token optimization and cost management for AI services What will set you apart? Experience with FastMCP for high-performance API services Experience applying AI in financial services or related regulated industries Knowledge of hybrid approaches combining rule-based systems with modern AI models Experience with multi-modal models and asynchronous Python programming patterns Proficiency with optimization techniques for API performance Experience with API gateway architecture and microservices Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field Advanced Python programming with FastAPI and testing frameworks Proficiency with Converse API development and integration Experience with AWS AI services and AWS infrastructure (Lambda, S3, ECS) Knowledge of containerization and microservices Strong understanding of API security best practices *PGIM welcomes all applicants, even if you don't meet every requirement.
