UMG is currently seeking an eager and exceptional individual to join our Infrastructure Team as the primary Infrastructure Architect. The Infrastructure Architect will be work with the engineering, implementation, and operations teams as well as the business to drive strategy, architecture, standards, and designs for UMG’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it supports business goals and operations. They are responsible for creating and maintaining the foundational technology systems, including networks, servers, storage, and A/V environments. Their work involves strategic planning, technical design, and ensuring the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient.  Job Functions: Infrastructure Design and Planning: Creating blueprints and roadmaps for the organization's IT infrastructure, considering current and future needs.  System Integration: Ensuring new and existing systems work together seamlessly and efficiently.  Technical Architecture: Defining the technical standards and specifications for hardware, software, and network components.  Standards: Define and document standards for IT infrastructure. Security and Compliance: Implementing security best practices and ensuring the infrastructure adheres to relevant regulations and policies.  Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Tracking system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.  Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Developing and implementing plans to ensure business operations can continue in the event of a disaster.  Collaboration and Communication: Working with various teams (IT, business units, vendors) to align infrastructure with business objectives and communicate technical solutions.  Automation: Working with Infrastructure engineering, implementation, and operations teams to drive automation of processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Other tasks as deemed necessary or appropriate Job Requirements: Skills/Abilities: Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of networking, servers, storage, and A/V technologies.  Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term infrastructure plans and align them with business goals.  Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.  Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills. Fluent in English (written and oral)        Experience: Experienced IT professional with 10+ years overall experience and minimum of 3 years as a Network design, 2 years Compute and Storage design, and 1 year A/V design. Experience in the design and delivery of customer-facing presentations (4 years minimum) Experience with architecture and strategic planning (2 years minimum) Experience with infrastructure automation (2 years minimum) Experience running large scale Proof of Concept/Proof of Value evaluations Experience running cost/benefit analysis of solutions Diversity & Inclusion At Universal Music we are committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity as an equal opportunity employer.
