Start your Voyage – Apply Now Profile Summary: Mastery level; Senior technical lead who is well skilled in design of business function, applications, information and infrastructure architectures, coding, testing, debugging and maintaining components of information applications.   Profile Description: Leads the identification and definition of applications architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model, data/information flows and security design. Provides practical, expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and the implications of each approach, participating and many times leading phases of the software development cycle.  Identifies business value and cost for business and IT partners. Delivers software engineering designs and programs for new and existing products (enhancements and new product development) that meets business needs.   Keeps current on best practices in technology, and market place trends(including business competitors and technology vendors). Identifies data needs, including access, security, quality and maintenance requirements.  Influences and clearly relates technical alternatives to business objectives, using effective communications with customers and stakeholders. Recommends design alternatives, considering benefits and limitations to users based on in-depth understanding of business needs; may code very complex or high risk components. Provides technical direction and coaching to software developers and associate software developers in application development activities. Adheres to all organizational and IT policies and process for software development and project management. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field. Six years of complex (multi-tiered) software development experience including two years of leadership experience. Proven ability in one or more programming languages (Cobol, C++, visual basic, Java) and development tools, or other relevant application development tools. Proven ability of structure analysis and technical design techniques, database and file access methods. Proven ability of mainframe development, OO programming experience, including Java and C++, experience in developing NT, Unit, and/or Window based applications. Our Ideal Candidate: Seasoned eWAM Developer. Experienced in the following technologies: GOLD, eWAM, wInterface, Database (SQL Server, Oracle), IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler. Experience in developing SOAP & Rest services using wInterface. Excellent interpersonal and strong documentation skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a highly dynamic environment. #LI-LW1 Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
