If you are looking for a challenging experience, you owe it to yourself to learn how Silvus can be the next chapter of your career.   THE OPPORTUNITY The Electronics Quality Technician II reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations - Quality Control team.  The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing. The position is full-time, on-site daily, Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA. The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct advanced visual inspection and rework per IPC-J-STD 001 standards. Perform continuity, resistance, and voltage checks to support root cause analysis. Build and repair custom cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures. Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and test equipment under supervision. Support RMA processing by performing initial diagnostic checks on returned units. Collaborate with Quality Engineers to identify process improvements and recurring issues. Document inspection results and communicate non-conformances effectively. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED, or an Associate’s degree in Electronics, with 1 year of relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or rework. Strong soldering skills with fine-pitch SMT components. Familiarity with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply). Proficient in Windows-based data entry and documentation tools. NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts. All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) under IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD 001. Familiar with low-voltage and RF PCB assemblies. Experience supporting R&D or prototype environments. Knowledge of ESD controls, calibration tracking, and safety procedures.  WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Occasional exposure to heat and cold. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following: Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves. Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments. Walking/Moving in the labs. CA Pay Range : $29.12 - $31.20 / hourly   This pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.  Basic Requirements High School Diploma or GED, or an Associate’s degree in Electronics, with 1 year of relevant experience.
