About the Role • Lead the Sourcing/ Procurement team to execute end-to-end procurement operations in compliance with AIA sourcing strategy and procurement guidelines, and ethical and sustainable sourcing practices • Take ownership over the BU-level sourcing and category management strategy, including managing the preferred vendors list • Work closely with business team and risk & compliance team to provide support on outsourcing arrangement in compliance with outsourcing policy and guidelines • Coordinate with BU ESG team if necessary Roles and Responsibilities: Lead and develop the Sourcing and Procurement team to deliver end-to-end procurement operations in alignment with AIA’s sourcing strategy, procurement policies, and ethical, sustainable sourcing standards. Provide strategic foresight on sourcing and procurement requirements through spend analysis, market trend evaluation, pricing benchmarks, and forward planning to effectively support business objectives. Lead in organization-wide sourcing and procurement projects and initiatives. Engage effectively with vendors to negotiate favorable contract terms and competitive pricing. Ensure procurement of goods and services is conducted with fairness, transparency, and timeliness, securing the most competitive pricing through volume discounts, favorable terms, and long-term agreements with suppliers and third-party providers. Monitor supplier and third-party performance, maintain an up-to-date preferred vendor list, and promptly resolve ad-hoc procurement inquiries and issues while managing associated risks. Design and implement sourcing strategies aimed at cost optimization, supplier consolidation, enhanced service delivery, and process efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor supplier performance and manage risk. Hold ownership of ARIBA system and vendor management implementation in database Drive automation and digitalization initiatives for efficiency. Performs duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements Coaching and developing the team. Foster collaboration across departments for effective sourcing Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or finance or business administration or other relevant degree with logistic and supply chain diploma or certification. Minimum 5 years of working experiences in sourcing and relevant category markets in a supervisory role in sourcing/ procurement Good understanding of the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle and relevant category markets and suppliers Proven experience in dealing with suppliers and supplier performance reviews Proven exposure to an operational role in sourcing/ procurement Understanding of category management and sourcing governance guidelines and policies Knowledge of sourcing/ procurement system functionalities or relevant softwares such as Ariba Able to negotitate the commercial term with vendors and sound business judegement Effective communication & negotiation skills with internal stakeholders. Project management skills in managing end-to-end sourcing and procurement initiatives would be a plus.
