Associate Director, Global Commercial Learning & Development (GCL+D) Position Overview: We are looking for a strategic and experienced learning & development professional to join our Global Commercial Learning & Development team as Associate Director, GCL+D. This is a senior individual contributor role with high visibility and impact across Gilead affiliates worldwide, driving conceptual development and leading cross-functional projects. The successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner to the Global Sales, Marketing, Medical, Operations, and affiliate CL&D teams.  Will be responsible for designing and delivering learning programs that build future-ready capabilities. This includes disease and product responsibilities, digital skills, and our ELITE P and RING selling models into all relevant training formats. This is a hybrid role/office based located in Foster City, CA. Key Responsibilities: ·        Act as strategic business partner to commercial functions, translating global business needs into impactful learning solutions as conceptual Therapeutic Area lead within the GCL+D team. ·        Work cross-functionally with the GCLD Operations team and instructional designers to design and implement disease and product training programs for sales, marketing, and cross-functional teams in Gilead affiliates. ·        Drive the integration of digital, AI and Learning Metrics tools into our commercial capabilities ·        Collaborate closely with global CL&D teams to align and localize global initiatives. ·        Coordinate Training materials with tactical campaigns, launch readiness, and continuous development programs. ·        Manage external training partners, vendors, and contractors to ensure high-quality delivery. ·        Represent GCL+D in cross-functional and global projects and contribute to commercial excellence. Basic Qualifications: ·        Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience ·        OR ·        Master's Degree and Eight Years’ Experience ·        OR ·        PhD and Two Years’ Experience Preferred Qualifications: ·        Experience working in a global marketplace, including collaboration with affiliates and stakeholders across multiple countries and regions. ·        Extensive experience in pharma/biotech, ideally in commercial training or education. ·        Strong knowledge and experience of the global healthcare landscape. ·        Demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload and multiple projects simultaneously. ·        Effective delegation skills, with experience leading teams and external partners. ·        Proven ability to manage multiple time zones and adapt to diverse cultural contexts. ·        Strong conceptual and strategic thinking, with hands-on execution skills. ·        Exceptional virtual and written communication skills, with the capability to engage and influence stakeholders remotely. ·        Proven ability to lead in a matrix environment and influence without authority. ·        Experience working in a matrix environment with a strong drive for operational excellence and tactical execution. They provide the support needed to remove barriers and connect their team to the broader ecosystem.   The salary range for this position is: $195,670.00 - $253,220.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
