What success looks like in this role: Job Description: Lead and execute large-scale migration projects, transitioning workloads and virtual machines (VMs) from VMware to Microsoft Hyper-V environments. Assess existing VMware infrastructure, create migration plans, and identify potential risks during the migration process. Develop and maintain migration scripts, tools, and best practices to streamline the transition process. Ensure smooth application and data migration with minimal downtime, while adhering to SLAs and operational efficiency. Provide expert-level knowledge and hands-on support for VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies, ensuring seamless integration between systems. Troubleshoot complex issues related to virtualized environments and provide advanced troubleshooting solutions. Design, implement, and optimize virtualization infrastructure to support business objectives. Serve as the go-to resource for VMware and Hyper-V questions, providing guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in VMware and Hyper-V technologies, offering recommendations for new solutions, tools, or upgrades. Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems. Discussing system and server upgrades with IT managers. Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers. Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users. Troubleshooting system and server errors. Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors. Monitoring and updating the Windows codebase. Managing user access. Monitoring system performance. Maintaining server architecture security #LI-BN1 You will be successful in this role if you have: You will be successful in this role if you have: Proven work experience as a Windows Administrator is preferred. Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance. Ability to create scripts in Power shell Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN. Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms. Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup. Excellent problem-solving skills. Good analytical and communication skills.
