Details on our Open Connect initiative, including peering and directed cache appliances (OCAs), are available athttp://openconnect.netflix.com.We are looking for a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience in complex negotiations and relationship management with Internet Service Providers, seeking a new challenge at one of the world's largest Internet content providers.What you will do:Maintain and deepen relationships with ISPs in the EMEA, and represent Netflix's business interests in negotiationsProvide regular updates and capacity forecasts to ISP partners on Netflix traffic destined for their users. Suggest potential network optimizations where appropriateMonitor interconnection and OCA utilization to ensure sufficient capacity is available and work with ISPs to augment capacity as neededCross-functional collaborations with Business Development, Legal, Government Relations, and Public Relations, representing Open Connect objectivesContribute to relevant industry organizations and events to promote Open Connect and help develop the global interconnection ecosystemWorking closely with internal stakeholders to align on global strategic objectives and ensure/maintain alignment on the execution of strategies at the regional/local level.Conduct data and Market research, as well as create collateral, to maintain optimal regional/local strategies.Engage in Technical discussions within engineering to drive x-functional initiatives that are technology-oriented and connect them back to ISP partnerships.Create collateral materials that can be understood and used by experts and non-experts alikeRequirements:Communicate effectively and succinctly with a wide variety of technical, business, and legal contacts at ISP partners in English, fluentlyAdditional language fluency is a plusExtensive experience of executive engagements with ISPsDeep understanding of the Internet ecosystem, both from a technical and business perspectiveHigh-level project management skills to ensure the success of partner activitiesExceptional familiarity with Internet technology concepts and their use by ISPs, including routing (IGP/BGP), traffic management, and interconnection and data center servicesAbility to present Netflix Open Connect concepts and activities for audiences of various sizesAbility to analyze and present a variety of data using Google Sheets, scripting, and database queriesBe able to produce reports using tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau for internal and partner useAbility to synthesize multiple disciplines to align with strategic objectivesDeep understanding of the Global Internet ecosystem, both from a technical and business perspectiveFluency in the architecture and engineering of content delivery systemsNetwork architecture, design, and engineering experience desiredExtensive contract negotiation experienceTravel is required within the region and for infrequent global engagementsIn addition, they must have the following qualities:Be a self-starter.
