If you are a talented screenings executive with a passion for content and entertainment, keep reading!About the RoleThe Senior Manager of Screenings will lead a team responsible for asset creation and screening execution.They will oversee a team of technical experts who work in tandem with Post Production, Content, and PR partners to bring exemplary creative presentations to screen, both at in-person and virtual events.They have a deep bench of business operations and processes, as well as strong people management skills, coupled with in-depth technical knowledge. They should have a proven track record of working first-hand on the development and execution of high-profile film & series screening events.They will be responsible for managing and executing systems workflows and vendor management, all while overseeing and up-leveling the work of their team. We are seeking someone who can establish a long-term vision for the team, is truly innovative, highly strategic, and can mobilize the team to realize the big-picture vision. We are seeking individuals who are excellent communicators, possess flexible management styles, and share a vision for both the team and individual growth among team members. Beyond technical expertise, we seek a leader with strong business acumen and strategic thinking.The successful candidate will be able to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of a senior leader, including helping their team navigate ambiguity by providing high-level context while enabling team members to make sound judgment calls.They will look to provide impact through scale by developing/maintaining workflow systems and building external partnerships. As a lead, they will also provide support to their team on some events.They seek to uplevel the entire Screening team. They are unafraid to take smart risks. Likewise, they are expected to help shape the growth of their team.The WorkOversee the Screenings Team strategy for the short and long term, in line with business needsFunction as a strategic thought partner within Events & Screenings to Publicity, Awards, Post-Production, Content Services, Globalization, and ProductElevates business operations that streamline the team’s ways of working internally and externallyCollaborates, ideates, and aligns with cross-functional teams to anticipate, create, communicate, and implement best practices and workflows for evolving screening needsLead cross-functional as well as cross-regional debate and collaborationFoster cross-functional partnerships and take strategic approaches to achieve big impact, high screening quality, and support for overall event and screening goalsLead ongoing roles & responsibilities discussions, grow, nurture and develop the group, and manage expectations, setting and discussions for their teamForecast budgets based on title prioritization and oversee the team budgetOversee title staffing and day-to-day team managementOversee vendor relations on designated projects and billing efficienciesSees the bigger picture with strong business acumen and a holistic understanding of the company, PR, title campaigns, and event goals to guide the team's goals and growthWorking with vendors, they manage the design and execution of large digital cinema installations for screenings, which include projection and theater sound systemsTravel will be required for oversight at eventsThe Candidate14+ years of entertainment experience, leading teams within a studio, network, media services company, or agency, with at least 10 years within APACFluent in English Language (Fluency in Japanese will be a big plus)An understanding of the CTV/OTT/Streaming landscape is preferredStrong people management and leadership experience, including coaching and developing diverse talent, managing both up and down, and providing constructive feedbackIs an inclusive leader who is sensitive to cultural nuances and D&I aspectsAbility to work in a highly cross-functional environment to drive stakeholder alignment and scaled communications; often contributing to leadership debates and forumsHave executive communication skills to be able to clearly articulate complex, technical, and strategic ideas to peers and leadership teamsAbility to develop and implement innovative & scalable ideas; partner with agencies; and handle a heavy volume of work, supervising several projects in tandem with creative problem-solving abilitiesHave relationships with key vendors, as well as the ability to build and maintain connections with new sectors of the businessWorking from either our Tokyo, Singapore, or Sydney offices.Inclusionis a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates.
