In this role, you’ll be a thought leader for the User Experience, as well as directly manage a group of talented Content Designers who craft information that connects people to their next entertainment obsession. Your team will strategize end-to-end product copy and information architecture for Netflix’s live-streamed events (e.g. FIFA World Cup 2024) and other product experiences that drive fandom and engagement.This role can be hybrid, but is best suited for candidates located in California or in the Pacific time zone, as monthly in-person travel will be required to collaborate with stakeholders and partners in Los Angeles, CA and Los Gatos, CA.About YouYou are a user experience leader with mastery in the design process. Experience managing a hybrid team of product and content designers is a plus.Adept at navigating complex organizational structures in 0-to-1 products or new business areas.Highly skilled at aligning multiple stakeholders, including at the Director and VP levels.Relentless in problem-solving and driving clarity through communication, collaboration, and feedback.Proven track record of leading teams to successful outcomes and shipping impactful consumer products across a variety of platforms at a global scale.Successful track record for shipping new content experiences for large-scale product ecosystems.Ability to inspire, lead, and engage your design teams, leaning in and giving them critical business context, feedback, and direction.Experience working on large-scale, complex projects across multiple teams.Experience leading product direction and strategic thinking by articulating a product vision and goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact on people and the company.Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, helping drive alignment between design and your cross-functional partners, and building strong relationships across business areas.Exceptional communication skills, in writing and verbally, to represent work to broader product teams and leaders.Experience connecting the dots across the organization with other related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration.Experience developing, guiding, and scaling language systems, content frameworks, and other Content Design deliverables.Experience working on global products and partnering with Globalization.This is a full-time, salaried role reporting to a Design Director within the Netflix Member Experience Design (XD) team.Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $270,000 - $700,000.Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
