In this role, you will partner with product managers, business teams, and other Data Science & Engineering colleagues to design metrics, develop analytic tools, and perform analyses that power content media operations at scale. Your analytical insights will help steer global media production strategy, identify innovations that drive scale economies and greater creative storytelling across our diverse content slate, and support the delivery of new content types on Netflix.As a Senior Analytics Engineer in this space, you will:Be a strategic partner for Content & Business Product PMs and Content Operations teams, developing and executing new measurement frameworks, and identifying analytic opportunities to assess the effectiveness and business impact of product solutions supporting media production workflowsDrive the direction of your work, developing solutions that span from scrappy code and prototype tools to high-visibility dashboards and analyses for Business and Product leadershipEstablish and maintain strong partnerships with a variety of business, product, and data-oriented stakeholders, working directly with them to introduce and influence data-informed ways of workingPresent your analytical methodology and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical partnersCollaborate with other Analytics Engineers & Data Engineers to source data from new systems, strengthen our foundational data models, and accelerate data analysisAbout you8+ years of demonstrated experience with data wrangling, data analysis, metric visualization, and data storytelling to both technical and non-technical product and business stakeholdersAn expert in the standard tech stack (i.e., SQL, Python) and intuitive dashboard/visualization design using common data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Plotly, Streamlit)Exceptional communication and collaboration skills coupled with strong business acumenComfortable operating in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment; able to take ownership and thrive with minimal oversight and processYou connect the dots across stakeholder needs and independently drive projects forwardA self-starter with a learning mindset who is exceptionally curious – eagerly diving into new spaces and bringing informed ideas to the tableYou are known for developing and deepening strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. You have experience partnering closely with executive leadership, with a proven track record of influencing strategic decisions through dataComfortable taking (smart) risks in your work and thrilled about innovating in the Content Production domainNetflix culture resonates with youExperience designing observational causal inference studies and A/B tests, driving strategic decision-making through its findings is a plusOur compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $170,000 - $720,000.Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
