Resolve operational #infrastructure or hardware incidents in multiple data centers. Manage complete lifecycle for data center hardware including #deployment operation and decommission. Physically #rack and cable data center equipment. Track and logically organize the physical #storage of incoming data center equipment. Perform quality assurance testing and resolve recurring issues. Schedule and track hardware maintenance tasks. Update port maps and rack layouts and create operational procedures. Monitor the environmental conditions and power cooling systems of a data center to ensure they are optimum for servers switches storage arrays and other devices. Run hardware diagnostics and replace failing parts in a timely manner. Upgrade internal system components including CPUs memory and storage. Setup and operate common Linux and Windows servers. Document processes and keep event logs. Work with the purchasing department on the procurement of new data center equipment.
