We're hiring an experienced and strategic Senior #Manager to lead our newly established Credit Risk Vertical within the #Risk and #Fraud team. This critical role will focus on seller credit risk. You'll be responsible for building and leading the pillar that assesses the credit risk of our sellers. __ Define and execute the overall strategy for identifying, assessing, and mitigating #credit risk for #Etsy merchants. Develop a comprehensive roadmap for the Credit Risk Vertical, aligning with broader Trust & Safety and company objectives. __ Lead, mentor, and grow a team of risk analysts. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration within the team. Responsible for performance management, career development, and hiring for the Credit Risk Vertical. __ Develop and implement sophisticated models, tools, and processes to identify merchants at risk of non-payment. This includes leveraging data analytics, behavioral patterns, and financial indicators to proactively assess creditworthiness and predict potential losses. __ #Design and implement effective strategies to mitigate credit risk exposure and minimize financial losses. This may include, but is not limited to, developing tailored interventions, payment plan options, or other preventative measures for at-risk merchants. Collaborate with internal teams on potential recovery efforts. __ Establish clear policies, procedures, and guidelines for managing seller credit risk. Ensure #compliance with internal standards and external regulations. __ Partner closely with other teams within #Trust & #Safety (e.g., Fraud, Account Integrity and Security), Product, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, Finance, and Seller Support to ensure a holistic approach to risk management and a seamless merchant experience. __ Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for credit risk, monitor performance, and provide regular reporting to leadership on risk exposure, mitigation effectiveness, and #financial impact. __ Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends in credit risk #management, and new technologies. Continuously seek opportunities to optimize processes, improve models, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Credit Risk Vertical.
