Job Description Provide specialized professional knowledge and technical skills in a specific area. Implement the bank's information security initiatives, enabling management to make appropriate decisions and monitoring the protection of confidential data and systems. Essential Functions Act as a trusted advisor for information security across the Group and for stakeholders. __ Adhere to and implement relevant technology standards developed by the wider IT Function. Adhere to the Group's minimum standards for supplier selection and participate in the selection of the most suitable supplier with the necessary experience. Build and develop relationships between different internal IT teams and with various stakeholders, so that the business unit remains engaged and aware of internal developments. __ Consider various attack scenarios and identify appropriate controls, working with software architects and engineers to specify how information security technologies should be implemented. Continuously review system operations, updating and changing processes and products to mitigate identified and discovered risks in order to minimize future incidents. __ Provide suggestions for setting reliable and realistic goals and budgets. Contribute to the maturity of detection and response by recommending improvements in security operations center control. __ Contribute to the process of digitizing and/or automating standard operating procedures designed to contain security risks and optimize efficiency. Contribute to the review of detection rules, evaluating false positives and improving the effectiveness of detection rules and minimizing future false positives. __ Contribute to operational plans and their practical implementation, and ensure that operational plans are clearly articulated and understood. Provide information on the design, management and implementation of relevant #policies, #processes and #systems in order to facilitate risk management. __ Represent the business area in various projects and working groups to positively influence project outcomes, considering information security goals and requirements. Analyze commercial and open source tools to enhance Standard Bank's security testing labs.
